And it went “PÄNG” – Alpha-Med at the education job fair
Our Alpha-Med branch in Cologne took part in the job fair for educational professions in Cologne’s Ehrenfeld district on November 16. Lena Welsch (Regional Manager), Thorsten Esser (Branch Manager) and Yaprak Tuncal (Team Assistant) attended the ‘PÄNG’ in person.
The Känguru city magazine brings professionals, graduates, students and career changers together with employers from the education sector. This gives them the opportunity to talk directly and exchange information about training opportunities and career prospects. This personal contact is an important reason for many in the education sector to visit the fair.
The primary aim of our colleagues on site was to attract new employees and customers. We also used the trade fair to increase our presence in the region. The current demand for qualified educators is extremely high – a topic that was discussed in depth at the trade fair. Thorsten Esser summarizes: “The demand for educators is enormous. You can feel this not only at the trade fair, but throughout Germany.”
One highlight was a group of young nursery school teachers who were full of anticipation as they talked about their professional future and could hardly wait to get started. At the same time, we were moved by our encounters with Ukrainian teachers who are trying with great determination to gain a foothold here in Germany as professionals.
Homemade lucky sayings, condoms and movie posters provided a smile or two at our stand.
Lena Welsch was pleasantly surprised by the number of visitors and the atmosphere. The audience was a colorful mix – from skilled workers to trainees, everyone was there to be informed and entertained by their potential employers.
Yaprak Tuncal particularly emphasizes the large number of friendly visitors and the potential in the field of education.
