Bridge to the German job market: Successful EU job fair in Frankfurt

On November 1, 2024, 14 employers and training providers came together for the EU Job Fair at the Frankfurt Employment Agency. The aim: to connect jobseekers from the European Union with German employers and thus facilitate access to the German labor market.

AlphaConsult-Premium KG and Alpha-Engineering KG were represented by Thorsten Lettau, Branch Manager, and Jan Zinkhan, Senior Personnel Consultant.

The EU applicants were able to discuss qualifications and vacancies straight away. “There was a very high attendance rate from potential EU applicants, which enabled a good and direct exchange,” explains Thorsten Lettau. While AlphaConsult-Premium recruited in the industrial and logistics sectors, Alpha Engineering found suitable applicants for academic and commercial positions. “We were able to find suitable vacancies for almost every qualification group,” says Lettau.

Alpha Engineering was particularly successful. In a speed dating format, colleagues were able to present a suitable position to a qualified candidate straight away.

Lettau also emphasized the importance of the “skill mix”, as both companies were present at the job fair together. The combination of the company units led to a high demand for qualifications and job offers.
In conclusion, he praised the job fair as a successful format that should become established in this form. As a partner of the working group, we look forward to participating in such application formats in the future.
