Social media recruiting: Our recruitment strategy

At a time when the job search has changed fundamentally, we at the AlphaConsult Group have been focusing increasingly on social media recruiting for the past two years. Our aim is to reach talented people exactly where they spend their free time: on social networks such as Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. This strategy allows us to target both active job seekers and passive candidates who may be open to career changes.

The success of this method is impressively demonstrated by the example of Alpha-Med: in 2024, we were able to attract around 20,000 applicants via social media ads, particularly in the fields of education and nursing. Jennifer Bollmann, Head of Division in Gelsenkirchen, is optimistic about 2025. We were also able to generate five-figure applications in the engineering and blue collar sectors. Our central marketing team is constantly working on optimizing our social media activities and creating content that appeals to our target groups.

We do not limit ourselves to social media alone. We supplement this strategy with active sourcing in career networks, traditional job platforms and active referral marketing. The focus is always on being found and giving candidates an authentic insight into our corporate culture.

Moustafa Jamo, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, emphasizes the importance of this holistic recruiting strategy. “Social media recruiting has long since ceased to be just a supplement and has become the primary tool for attracting applicants in some of our companies.” For us, social media recruiting is more than just placing advertisements – it’s about building a connection, creating trust and attracting the right talent for our companies.
