CampusConnection – creative fish sandwiches and exclusivity

Under the motto “CampusConnection – Your Future in the Region”, Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences, together with BIS Bremerhavener Gesellschaft für Investitionsförderung und Stadtentwicklung mbH, organised the first job fair spread over a large area of the campus grounds.

Students from all fields were able to find out in a direct exchange with the leading companies in the Bremerhaven region what professional career opportunities are available in the maritime city after they have completed their studies.
The AlphaConsult Premium KG branch in Bremerhaven had the reference of being able to participate in this special event as the only personnel service provider from the region.

Exciting conversations ensued with future engineers: inside from the technical field; with students of food technology or tourism.

It was a great pleasure to see what expectations and hopes the young students had for their professional future, or to learn that the perspectives are still connected with searching and uncertainties.
It was also a new experience for us recruiters to have job interviews, which gave us a new perspective on the skilled workers of tomorrow through the openness in the students’ conversations.

The programme was framed by a regional street food event, which offered hungry visitors a culinary treat ranging from fancy french fries to creatively designed fish sandwiches.

And now we are already looking forward to next year’s “CampusConnection” event, for which we have already received confirmation from the organisers.
